Vision is precious. Unfortunately, too many people take it for granted. Serious eye diseases can be present without any visual symptoms.  Like every disease in medicine, early detection is critical.  The earlier a problem is detected, the better it can be treated, resulting in the best possible outcome.   GlobeChek™ was conceived and developed by two Board-Certified Ophthalmologists with over 45 years of combined clinical experience who truly understand the need for screening eye exams.

GlobeChek™ will bring eye examinations to people by providing an affordable, convenient, and accurate solution for detecting the majority of serious, potentially asymptomatic, ocular and systemic disease.  Our mission is simple: prevent unnecessary blindness.

While the cost of vision loss to a society can be calculated in dollars and cents, the loss of vision to an individual is incalculable. Vision loss has a wide spread impact on the individual and family and can strain social service networks.  This impact is even more deeply disturbing because it could be prevented with a simple screening. 

GlobeChek™ will bring early detection to the people. Whether it is due to cost, inconvenience, lack of education or access, millions of people do not receive regular eye exams.  Approximately 50% of diabetics in the US are undiagnosed. Glaucoma, an asymptomatic and potentially blinding eye disease, is also undiagnosed in approximately 50% of the public. In less than 10 minutes, GlobeChek™ kiosks can detect early signs of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, hypertension, and carotid artery disease, as well as other systemic diseases, allowing for early intervention. 

The GlobeChek Foundation is requesting donations to fulfill its mission: prevent those less fortunate from losing vision.
